When I first heard the Gate City - J.I. Burton score on 93.5 after I left the PV/Appy game I thought they had made a mistake and announced it wrong. Seems if I went to the wrong ballgame, as the one I went to wasn't much to see.

Wyattap's post above that he made earlier in the week was the first thing I thought of when I found out the score was correct as WAXM announced it. That game was honest freaking truth the epitome of not haveing fun as a JIB fan/player/alumni/resident of norton/child of resident of norton/the mayor. I would have went crazy if i were any of those, honestly.

This is not ment directly at you, but your quote is quite entertaining considering while winning 22-23 games before gate city. Football was life at burton.... That all anybody on here ever heard about, is getting screwed out of state and how great their team is.

And I am personally tired of hearing about it. I love to watch high school football games because it is purest form of football.

On another note, I am tired seeing people not from Burton downing the coaching staff and fans, it seems like that is all you see as well.

From you understanding you are WRONG!!!!! The P.V. fans had that done to pump up the team. But, as usual the blame goes on Appy. That is one of the oldest has been tricks in the books. Think of something new to do next year.

Yes high school football is the best and purest form of football, kids put fort alot of blood and sweat just for school and town pride.

UTVols2 I dont know if your post was directed towards me in any way or not but I think the norton staff is one of the best in the region but all we hear about from the fans (not all of them) is how great burtons football team is and how they are the best team in the region and how they wont face a challenge until half state and on and on and on I dont blame them for being proud hell if haysi went to state thats all I would talk about but when you brag like that and lose you are going to catch hell from everyone I dont have a problem with burtons fans but they asked for it

high school is the purest form of football espically in this area every friday kids go out there and lay it on the line for pride
